AeroNordic performs manufacturing, testing, and reporting, all services under one roof. Our test services are based on an extensive list of a methods that allows you as a customer to handover the end-to-end responsibility of materials testing. This means that our customers do not have to coordinate specimens, results and schedules across multiple labs.

Mechanical Testing

We perform mechanical testing on:

– Composite laminates and neat Resins.
– Elastomeric Materials.
– Coatings and Fillers.
– Sealants and Structural Adhesives.
– Tapes, structural as well as LEPs

Rain Erosion Testing

Rain Erosion Testing is only part of verifying the performance of a LEP system.
In AeroNordic, we cover all performance related test methods associated with LEP system – in-house!

Materials typically tested in our erosion rig:
– Dedicated leading edge protection system.
– Topcoats and fillers.
– Blade repair materials.

Other Types of Material Testing

In support of especially wind turbine blades, we have introduced non-structural material characteristics:
Thermal Conductivity and Thermal Capacity.
These thermal material characteristics becomes relevant as the thermal performance of blade materials are constantly pushed to the limits.

Electrical conductivity of surfacing systems.
The electrical conductivity becomes relevant as new surfacing materials are introduced, facing the challenges of lightning strikes.
