Specimen Manufacturing

In our workshop, we are experienced in manufacturing test samples in accordance with our customers requirements. We can process systems consisting of standard thermosetting compounds as well as UV curing solutions.

Reliable test results requires high quality test specimens!

– Our lab is configured and equipped to produce specimens in adherence to your requirements.

– Specimen manufacturing is special discipline and detailed replication of the production processes is essential in obtaining representative material characteristics.

– We offer a wide range of laminate production capabilities from UV curing of resin systems over vacuum infusion to prepreg based processes.

– Our technicians are experienced in a vast variety of coating filler application and coating methods.

– We can take the full responsibility from fabric/resin level through to tabbing and extraction of the specimens to be tested.

– We insist on traceability based on automated logging systems and commentary input from our technicians in order to aid our customers in making educated decisions based on test results and process logs from our lab.

What is a Test Substrate?

At AeroNordic we specialize in composite materials, namely fibre-reinforced plastics (FRP), as our substrates for testing purposes. These are engineered by combining layers of high-strength fibres, typically glass or carbon, with a matrix material like thermoset resin.

There are countless combinations between fibre types, number of layers and their orientation, matrix material, substrate and extraction geometries, and more.

End-to-end specimen manufacturing

We have many years of experience working with composite test substrates from A to Z.

– Our experienced engineers can help you with a substrate design that optimizes the composite’s performance for its intended application. In our lab, our skilled technicians are ready to take the design into production, all the way from the initial lay-up to the extraction of test specimens ready for application or test.

We follow an optimized, agile work process to ensure fast delivery of standard or specialized substrates.
