The fracture toughness of laminates and adhesive bond lines is a very important material characteristic in highly loaded structures, such as wind turbine blades.
Our primary fracture toughness specimen configuration is the calibrated end loaded split (C-ELS).
This specimen configuration is applied in both Modus-I and Modus-II testing.

In support of ever increasing certification demands, we perform the fracture toughness testing at both room temperature and at both sub-zero and increase temperature conditions.
