Accelerated Artificial Weathering

ISO 12944-6/9 & DNVGL-RP-0573

What is accelerated artificial ageing? Accelerated aging involve subjecting the material to harsh environmental conditions, such as high and low temperatures, UV, salt fag and humidity, to simulate the adverse effects of long-term exposure in the field. By evaluating the material’s properties after exposure to these conditions, engineers can assess its durability and performance over time.

Not only cosmetic

Yes, coatings are affected cosmetically from weathering!
More importantly, the adverse effect of weathering has a significant impact on the structural performance of polymeric materials.
Far too often we see substantial performance knock-downs caused by accelerated weathering!
Most performance verification- and qualification protocols involve accelerated weathering.
As an integral part of our one-stop-shop philosophy, AeroNordic offers standardized artificial accelerated weathering.
We offer accelerated artificial weathering in accordance with ISO 12944 (earlier ISO 20340) & DNVGL-RP-0573.
