AeroNordic continues to expand the material testing department with Xenon accelerated ageing testing on the new Q-SUN Xe-3 Xenon Test Chamber. With three full-spectrum xenon-arc lamps, the chamber reproduces the effect of natural sunlight, allowing us to evaluate how composite materials, coatings and polymers respond to UV exposure, elevated temperatures and moisture over time.
Xenon accelerated ageing testing to ISO 16474-2 and ISO 12944-9
Testing in the Q-SUN Xe-3 is performed in accordance with ISO 16474-2 (Method A, Cycle 1), as part of cyclic ageing testing to ISO 12944-9, simulating years of outdoor and offshore exposure in a controlled and repeatable way. This gives you reliable data on colour fastness, surface degradation and the long-term durability of protective coating systems.
